Job Overview

We seek a skilled and motivated Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will deeply understand Shopify’s platform, including Liquid templating, and have experience in developing custom Shopify themes and apps. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about e-commerce, and enjoys solving complex problems to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Custom Development: Create, customize, and optimize Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid to ensure a seamless user experience.
High-Quality Code: Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, ensuring that all elements function flawlessly.
Extend Functionality: Develop custom Shopify apps to extend the platform’s functionality according to business needs.
Integration & Enhancement: Integrate third-party apps and APIs to enhance Shopify’s capabilities and provide innovative solutions.
Performance Optimization: Ensure all Shopify websites are responsive, optimized for performance, and adhere to SEO best practices.
Website Audits: Conduct website audits and implement necessary updates to improve load times and overall performance.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and marketing teams to implement new features and improve existing functionality.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Shopify stores, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Best Practices: Follow best practices in version control and code documentation, ensuring a clean and maintainable codebase.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refactor code to improve maintainability, performance, and scalability.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in Shopify development or a related e-commerce platform.
Proficiency in Shopify’s Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Experience with Shopify’s API and app development.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Headless Shopify and integrating Shopify with other CMS or platforms.
Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
