We are looking for a highly skilled SEO Specialist & Team Lead to drive our SEO initiatives and lead our SEO and link-building teams. If you have a passion for search engine optimization, technical SEO, and building high-quality backlinks, this role is for you!

Role Overview

As an SEO Specialist & Team Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies that improve organic rankings, increase website traffic, and drive conversions. You will lead a team of SEO analysts and link-building specialists, ensuring best practices are implemented across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search performance.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis to identify ranking opportunities.
  • Optimize website content, structure, and technical elements for search engines (on-page and technical SEO).
  • Monitor SEO performance, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the SEO and link-building teams to ensure the efficient execution of SEO projects.
  • Set clear KPIs and performance benchmarks for the team.
  • Conduct regular training and knowledge-sharing sessions to keep the team updated on SEO trends.
  • Collaborate with content writers, developers, and designers to align SEO efforts across different departments.
  • Oversee the execution of white-hat link-building strategies to enhance domain authority.
  • Develop outreach campaigns to secure high-quality backlinks from authoritative sources.
  • Monitor backlink profiles and ensure compliance with Google’s guidelines.

Technical SEO & Website Optimization

  • Audit websites for technical SEO issues (crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, etc.).
  • Work closely with developers to implement SEO-friendly website improvements.
  • Ensure proper site architecture and internal linking for optimal user experience and search rankings.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog to track performance.
  • Provide detailed SEO reports with insights, progress updates, and next-step recommendations.
  • Continuously test and optimize SEO strategies based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3+ years in SEO with a proven track record of improving search rankings and organic traffic.
  • Experience managing or mentoring SEO and link-building teams.
  • Deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing and link-building strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.

In your first 30 days, you will…

  • Get to know our team, our partners and our current SEO strategies. You’ll spend time understanding our partners’ industries, target audiences, and business goals.
  • Conduct an audit of SEO performance for the agency and select partners. This will involve using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to analyze website traffic, search visibility, keyword rankings, backlink profiles, and more.
  • Identify areas for improvement across our current SEO strategies and processes

In your first 60 days, you will…

  • Implement your first round of SEO strategies for our partners. This may involve making changes to website content, meta tags, URL structures, and more.
  • Begin tracking and analyzing SEO data to monitor performance. You’ll set up regular reporting and keep a close eye on key metrics like organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rate, and conversion rate.
  • Collaborate closely with the growth team  to ensure a cohesive digital marketing strategy for each partner.

In your first 90 days, you will…

  • Make necessary adjustments to SEO strategies based on the data you’ve collected. 
  • Start planning for long-term SEO success. This might involve developing a content calendar, planning for technical SEO improvements, or strategizing for new algorithm updates.
