About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Marketing Client Partner to lead the SMB department at Azarian Growth Agency. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our SMB clients, taking ownership of their growth marketing initiatives and ensuring successful execution of campaigns. The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to manage complex projects while maintaining strong client relationships.

This role involves creating marketing backlogs, strategizing campaigns, leading a team, writing proposals for future partners, and driving results. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and project management to guide the team effectively and execute client goals successfully. You will also oversee the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Azarian Growth Agency and SMB clients.
    • Initiate and lead client meetings, including presentations, progress updates, and strategy sessions.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Create and manage marketing backlogs, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
    • Develop and present proposals, strategies, and campaign decks.
    • Research and write detailed proposals for future partners to expand agency offerings.
    • Oversee and coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead weekly sprints with internal teams to align on goals and deliverables.
    • Provide clear direction, set priorities, and ensure accountability among team members.
    • Mentor and guide team members to foster professional growth.
    • Use marketing and project management expertise to ensure campaigns are innovative, effective, and aligned with client goals.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitating collaboration between content creators, designers, and analytics experts.
    • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to avoid delays or issues.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation and backlogs using tools such as Asana.
  • Data-Driven Analysis:
    • Use tools such as Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Excel to gather insights and optimize campaigns.
    • Monitor campaign performance, identify areas for improvement, and present actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability:
    • Be available for early morning or late-night meetings to accommodate global clients and partners.
    • Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Marketing Execution:
    • Contribute directly to the execution of various marketing initiatives, including content creation, campaign optimization, and social media management, ensuring alignment with overall strategy and client goals.

30-60-90 Day Plan

First 30 Days: Orientation and Onboarding

  • Familiarize yourself with Azarian Growth Agency’s culture, methodologies, and tools, including Asana, Google Suite, Slack, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs.
  • Review existing client strategies, campaigns, and feedback to understand goals and areas for improvement.
  • Shadow Growth Marketing Leads in client meetings to understand workflows and expectations.
  • Begin managing smaller tasks, such as organizing backlogs and tracking campaign progress.
  • Build rapport with team members and clients to establish a collaborative working relationship.

Next 30 Days (Days 31-60): Execution and Collaboration

  • Take ownership of specific client accounts, managing day-to-day tasks and client communications.
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaign materials in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Start independently creating and delivering client decks, proposals, and reports.
  • Research and draft strategic proposals for potential partnerships to grow the SMB portfolio.
  • Regularly analyze data using tools like Google Analytics to drive strategic recommendations.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring smooth workflow, timely delivery, and quality results.

Final 30 Days (Days 61-90): Strategic Impact and Leadership

  • Demonstrate measurable contributions to client success through improved campaign performance and streamlined processes.
  • Lead client meetings and strategy sessions with confidence, presenting actionable insights and results.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities for clients and develop tailored strategies.
  • Strengthen team collaboration by optimizing sprint planning and ensuring clear communication of priorities.
  • Reflect on achievements and set goals for continued growth within the agency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, project management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, project management, or digital marketing, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, project management methodologies, and strategies to effectively lead and guide a team.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to create and deliver compelling decks, proposals, and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with tools such as Ahrefs, Asana, Google Suite, Slack, and Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with agile workflows, sprint planning, and backlog creation.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning and staying at the forefront of marketing trends.

Preferred Skills

  • PMP or other relevant project management certification.
  • Experience working in a growth agency or startup environment.
  • Knowledge of additional marketing tools or platforms such as HubSpot, SEMrush, or Mailchimp.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse partners, including SMBs, startups, and larger organizations.
