About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing Lead-In-Training who can assist with the day-to-day execution needs of our clients’ growth marketing initiatives. The ideal person for this role enjoys multi-tasking and adapts quickly to shifting priorities. You will support creative campaign development and execution across different channels, ensuring smooth communication and clarity for internal teams. You’ll help support everyday operations, including agency management and optimization of current workflows. Strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the right-hand support for our Growth Marketing Leads, assisting with project coordination and administrative needs across key client initiatives:
  • Scribe, update and maintain detailed notes from client/team meetings
  • Support the creation and execution of marketing campaign materials, working with internal team members to ensure the timely development of high-quality assets (content, designs, scheduled posts, etc.)
  • Assist in writing, updating and reviewing/proofing marketing collateral as needed
  • Track project progress and communicate changes
  • Help maintain clean, organized backlogs in our project management system 
  • Collect and update metrics for review from various marketing channels (social media, web analytics, email, etc.)
  • Assist with various marketing and admin tasks as needed.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field 
  • At least 2+ years’ work experience 
  • Interest/desire to grow as a marketer and to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Collaborative, growth-mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized self-starter who likes to get things done; problem solver with an interest in developing strong project management skills
  • Willingness to get into the weeds, be scrappy, and always be a team player
  • Must be self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented as well as have the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a good work ethic.
  • You enjoy coming up with creative solutions to challenging problems.

Bonus-Points Skills:

  • Experience with the following tools/tech is highly preferred:
    • Asana
    • Google Suite 
    • Slack
    • Google Analytics
    • Excel
  • Bonus points if you’ve had experience working within a marketing team or at an agency

First 30 Days: Orientation and Strategy Development

  • Familiarize with Azarian Growth Agency’s culture, methodologies, and the tools used within the agency, including Asana, Google Suite, Slack, Google Analytics, and Excel.
  • Understand the specific goals, challenges, and expectations of each client by reviewing documentation, attending meetings, and engaging in discussions with Growth Marketing Leads.
  • Review existing marketing strategies, campaigns, and client feedback to identify potential areas for improvement or new opportunities.
  • Begin building relationships with team members across different functions to understand their roles, expertise, and how you can best support each other.
  • Start executing on smaller tasks within revised or new growth marketing strategies for clients under the guidance of a Growth Marketing Lead.

Next 30 Days (Days 31-60): Implementation and Team Coordination

  • Continue executing on tasks and taking on more responsibility within client projects, focusing on the creation and execution of marketing campaign materials.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and analytics experts, to ensure campaigns are cohesive, on track, and align with client goals.
  • Initiate basic A/B testing for various campaigns under supervision to learn about optimizing conversion metrics.
  • Regularly analyze campaign data with the help of tools like Google Analytics to monitor performance and understand the basics of making data-driven adjustments.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, organized backlogs in our project management system, ensuring smooth workflow and clear communication across teams.

Final 30 Days (Days 61-90): Analysis and Client Relationship Strengthening

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of your contributions to the strategies implemented and their impact on client goals, learning how to measure success in a growth marketing context.
  • Prepare and present basic reports on campaign performance both internally and, if ready, to clients, focusing on what you’ve learned and observed.
  • Establish a foundation for continuous improvement in marketing strategies based on data analysis, feedback from the Growth Marketing Leads, and direct client feedback.
  • Strengthen client relationships by demonstrating clear value through your work, showing your understanding of their goals, and actively contributing to strategic discussions.
  • Reflect on your progress with your supervisor, identifying areas of strength and areas for further development, setting goals for your continued growth within the agency.
